Sunday Nov. 1st guest speaker
Have you been curious about foster care & what that could look like for you? We are excited to host Michael Washington this Sunday, Nov. 1st! His message is entitled The Assignment is Bigger than Me and the passages he's using are Exodus 3:1-12, James 1:27, Eph. 2:10, and 1 Co. 12:4-7.
Michael Washington brings more than 15 years of pastoral experience, along with a background in chaplaincy and nonprofit family preservation, to his work at Josiah White's Foster Care Agency. Throughout his career, he has been passionate about serving others, strengthening families, and helping youth and families overcome challenges and build brighter futures. His heart for ministry and community impact is rooted in a desire to see people experience hope, restoration, and the purpose God has for their lives.

Upcoming sermon series
In November we will be kicking off a new sermon series called God's Heart for the Vulnerable. This will be a 3 week sermon series on the book of Micah. So make sure you join us on Sundays for service at 10:30am!
4:12 student ministry
Through the 4:12 Student Ministry at Great Oak, we share the love of God, His plan, and His purpose. Teens attend and/or serve in the Worship service Sunday mornings at 10:30.
The youth meet Sunday nights from 5-6:30pm for Bible study, discussion, and games. Text YOUTH to 317-827-8701 to get updates.

Food pantry & clothing bank
| The Great Oak Food Pantry & Clothing Bank is open every 1st Tuesday of the month from 11am-1:00pm & 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:00pm-8:00pm at 6341 Mann Road. Our Clothing Bank has gently used clothing for children and adults. You can visit one of our food pantry times once a month. |

Church History
Great Oak Church was established in 1863 and formerly known as Mt.Pleasant Baptist Church or MPBC Indy.
Amidst changing times and a growing community, we embrace a new name - Great Oak Church - that reflects our steadfast roots, enduring strength, and welcoming spirit. We remain committed to our faith and mission, and look forward to continuing to serve our congregation and community with the same love and dedication as always.
