sermon series
| Starting this Sunday, we're spending four weeks in the book of Acts - the story of an ordinary group of people who had no idea how their story would unfold, but soon discovered that the Spirit they'd received was more than enough for everything ahead of them. We believe their story has something to teach us about our own. The same Spirit that moved through them is moving through us — in this city, in this church, right now. Each week we'll pull out one defining mark of that early church and ask what it would look like for us to live it out today. This is a series you won't want to miss — and one that's easy to jump into no matter when you join us this summer. Come expecting to see church a little differently, and to find your place in what God is doing. |
4:12 student ministry
Through the 4:12 Student Ministry at Great Oak, we share the love of God, His plan, and His purpose. Teens attend and/or serve in the Worship service Sunday mornings at 10:30.

Food pantry & clothing bank
| The Great Oak Food Pantry & Clothing Bank is open every 1st Tuesday of the month from 11am-1:00pm & 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:00pm-8:00pm at 6341 Mann Road. Our Clothing Bank has gently used clothing for children and adults. You can visit one of our food pantry times once a month. |

Church History
Great Oak Church was established in 1863 and formerly known as Mt.Pleasant Baptist Church or MPBC Indy.
Amidst changing times and a growing community, we embrace a new name - Great Oak Church - that reflects our steadfast roots, enduring strength, and welcoming spirit. We remain committed to our faith and mission, and look forward to continuing to serve our congregation and community with the same love and dedication as always.
