sermon series
| Some people are wary of Christians who seem to attribute everything to the Holy Spirit's leading. Others lean the opposite direction, measuring the Spirit's presence by how they feel in a given moment - an emotional worship experience means He's moving; a quiet Sunday means maybe He isn't. Neither of those gets it quite right. More Than a Feeling: The Nature and Work of the Holy Spirit is a four-week series that builds on that foundation. From June 7 - 28, we'll work through who the Holy Spirit is, how He shows up across all of Scripture, what He is doing in the life of every believer, and how He works in and through the local church. 4:12 student ministry
Through the 4:12 Student Ministry at Great Oak, we share the love of God, His plan, and His purpose. Teens attend and/or serve in the Worship service Sunday mornings at 10:30.

Food pantry & clothing bank
| The Great Oak Food Pantry & Clothing Bank is open every 1st Tuesday of the month from 11am-1:00pm & 2nd Wednesday of the month from 6:00pm-8:00pm at 6341 Mann Road. Our Clothing Bank has gently used clothing for children and adults. You can visit one of our food pantry times once a month. |

Church History
Great Oak Church was established in 1863 and formerly known as Mt.Pleasant Baptist Church or MPBC Indy.
Amidst changing times and a growing community, we embrace a new name - Great Oak Church - that reflects our steadfast roots, enduring strength, and welcoming spirit. We remain committed to our faith and mission, and look forward to continuing to serve our congregation and community with the same love and dedication as always.
